After years of battling deteriorating health a West Coast legend has passed, Nathaniel Hale, better known as Nate Dogg, is dead at 41. The cause of death is not known at this time, Nate had suffered two strokes, one in 2007 that had left him partially paralyzed and another in 2008. He is the friend and partner in the rap game with rapper Snoop Dogg. He began singing as a child. At the age of 16 he dropped out of High School and left home to join the United States Marine Corps, serving for three years. Nate Dogg was a four-time Grammy nominee. In 1991 Nate Dogg and Snoop and their friend Warren G, formed a rap trio called 213. 213 recorded their first demo that demo was later heard by Dr.Dre at a house party and he was instantly hooked on the soulful voice of Nate.Snoop went to Twitter hours after Nate was pronounced dead last night and posted a tribute tweet to his longtime pal Nate Dogg -- saying, "all doggs go to heaven"
